Simple, Practical Apps
Small tools, useful jobs
Not every problem needs a massive platform, a monthly subscription, or a screen full of features you’ll never use. Kanawha Valley AppWorks is focused on simple, practical apps built to solve specific everyday problems without unnecessary clutter.
The goal is straightforward: make useful tools, keep them easy to use, and let people get on with their day.
The Story
My journey began as a kid, fiddling around with anything interesting I could find on a computer—including trying to make games in GameMaker and RPG Maker. Over the years, that curiosity grew through all kinds of creative internet projects, design work, and experimentation with technology. Eventually, while working as a retail manager, I found myself wishing there were simpler, more practical tools for the everyday tasks managers deal with.
That idea eventually became ShiftSheet, a straightforward scheduling app built around the things I actually wanted from a schedule manager: something quick, useful, flexible, and free of unnecessary clutter. Building it reminded me how much I enjoy turning small everyday problems into tools that make life a little easier.
Kanawha Valley AppWorks grew from that idea. My goal is to create focused, affordable apps that do one job well rather than burying useful features beneath subscriptions, ads, and unnecessary complexity. ShiftSheet is the first, but it won’t be the last.
